You are Acrylic. While you are very versatile, your plasticky countenance can be offputting. You are very good with children but can become a pill if left alone with them too long. You are very flexible but don't give in to manipulation. What kind of yarn are you? brought to you by Quizilla Now I'm totally depressed. Why couldn't I have been something gorgeous like cashmere, but no, cheap, itchy, plain - acrylic...

Yup - it's Monday again... I only work 3 days a week so how come those 3 days seem much longer than the 4 I spend at home??? Mutant teddy is coming along nicely! He now has 2 arms and one leg, can't wait to see the finished article... This weekend we went down to Maldon in Essex for my friend, Jenny's 30th birthday. Elliot baked a cake (with some help from Mummy) and off we went. It's quite a drive, 3.5 hours but so worth it. We had a lovely day on Saturday just being together and mooching...

OK - so finished the Rowan Cork scarf which looks lovely by the way. It is a present for my friend Jane's birthday. I can't wait to give it to her, it's the first gift I've made for someone else as normally I only knit for Elliot. Went back to Elliot's Debbie Bliss guernsey and knit a sleeve so only one sleeve and the hood to go. To reward myself for all that counting, cabling etc I decided to take another break from it and move onto something else - a teddy bear in Snowflake Magic Chunky. Th...

I'm back... Nobody missed me I'm sure. A belated happy new year to one and all. Well, Christmas is over and done with for another year. The decorations are packed away and the house is back to normal - that is apart from deciding where to and how to store all of Elliot's new toys! Not that he was spoilt or anything. Elliot had a hernia operation last Friday. It was a bit nerve wracking. I know it's a minor operation but the thought of him having an anaesthetic was bit overwhelming. I am...

I found this poem and just had to share it... Gave me a good giggle! 'Twas the night before Christmas and all around me There was unfinished knitting not under the tree, The stockings weren't hung by the chimney with care 'Cause the heels and the toes had not a stitch there. The children were nestled all snug in their beds, But I had not finished the caps for their heads. Dad was asleep---he was no help at all. And the sweater for him was 6" too small. When ...

Welcome back. I have had some very useful blog advice from literaryhigh so now there is no excuse for a boring blog! On the knitting front:- The baby cardigan and blanket are finished and posted... and I'm back to Elliot's guernsey hooded Debbie Bliss jumper. We're spending New Year with friends in Maldon and there is a very good wool shop there so I have a list of projects to buy for - can't wait! All that lovely wool just waiting for me... I have plans for booga bags, hats, sca...

Welcome to my very first blog entry... I've become a secret blog reader recently and found it very addictive and hugely informative. All my fellow knitting bloggers seem very very clever, they can knit and blog about it! but they/you all knit so well that my feeble attempts are way below par. I have been really inspired by the "knit a longs" and booga bags, bucket hats etc and have loads of things now added to my project list. A bit about me, my name is Michelle. I live in Yorkshire, UK. I...
