Welcome to my very first blog entry...
I've become a secret blog reader recently and found it very addictive and hugely informative. All my fellow knitting bloggers seem very very clever, they can knit and blog about it! but they/you all knit so well that my feeble attempts are way below par. I have been really inspired by the "knit a longs" and booga bags, bucket hats etc and have loads of things now added to my project list.
A bit about me, my name is Michelle. I live in Yorkshire, UK. I am married to Jono and we have a son, Elliot, who will be 3 in March - you will no doubt hear a lot about him if you tune into my blog on a regular basis...
I work part time as an IT/Development Manager at a firm of solicitors 3 days a week and the rest of the time I play Mummy!
My Grandma taught me to knit when I was about 4 and I did the obligatory "Dr Who" scarves and lots of baby mittens. As I got older I knit for myself but for the last 15 years or so I've just knitted baby clothes for all my friends' sproglets and then for Elliot. The blogs I've read have inspired me to get those needles clicking just for me, me, me!
At the moment I've just finished a baby cardigan for Jono's cousin who has had a little girl. I have on hold a Debbie Bliss guernsey for Elliot for which I've finished the back and I plan on much more exciting things for the year 2004.
